Apparently You're A Genius
I'm not weird. I'm just happy.
Oh Yeah, I Guess It Makes Me Smile.
I've been tagged by Hellikonia and KNizam. The rule of this weird, non-purposeful (probably semi-purposeful) game is to tell 6 weird facts about your-weird-self. Then you have to choose 6 other weird people so that they can tell a weird fact or two or six (preferably six, why six?) about their weird-selves. Gosh, it is really complicatedly weird now. Bang head on the wall. Anyway, I will not choose that other 6. If you want to write about yourself, just write lar. I believe in the freedom to write about yourself, being tagged or being not. It makes no difference really. Furthermore, i probably won't have time this week or next to visit those 6 and read weird facts about them (should i choose them). Sep sep sep, bom bom bom, namakan sejenis buah, buah apa, buah rambutan, buah dokong bla bla*...ah, those primary school days with cute little girls, their pony-tails, blue pinaforms, main getah & sep sep thing. Zurin (the girl with the horse in one of the picture below) is a girl i know since primary school (16++ years now - Sek. Keb Jalan Pasar (1) KL - she went to BBGS, i went to Semsas Kuantan**). She still makes good pony-tails. She's single but don't bother attempting sweet little lines with her. I failed twice. But mum, she's giving me mixed signals. What to do? Ah again, we are the best of friends.
*To successfully be in rhythm - the third 'sep' should be read more than 2 seconds. The gap between namakan, sejenis and buah should be about 2 seconds with the last syllable of each word being stressed and read more than 2 seconds as well.
**Sekolah Menengah Sains Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Kuantan. Again, thank god for that school. If not, i might end up as one of the many St. John Institution losers.
1) I have tremor in my left hand. In other words, my left hand shakes for no reason. The other person i know who has this problem is Dr. T. Counihan. He is the consultant neurologist here. Maybe it's a sign I'll be a neurologist as well. Hopefully. Neurology rocks.
Pantai Kok, Langkawi. September 2006
2) I have sweaty palms. Weirdly enough, it only happens when I'm relaxed and not nervous.
Envy. It happens to everyone. Even to the best of them.
3) I haven't watch a Korean movie/Tv show/drama ever in my life.
Andaman Sea, Langkawi. September 2006
4) I once had a preference for older women. In the period when i was 19 years old till i was 21, i dated two older women (one 4 years older (lasted for a year or so, she's married now with a baby), the other 2 years older (lasted 2 weeks or so)). Overall, i never had a relationship that lasted for more than 2 years. Sedih ooo.
Zurin, , Horse & Keyri J. Pantai Kok, Langkawi September 2006.
5) Of all my ex-girlfriends who left me, all of them got back together with me at some stage after the break-ups. Miss me huh? Don't know what to do? Regret? Obviously things weren't they same, so they didn't work out anyway. And I won't lie, the first thing i look for in a girl/woman is her looks.
Misogynistic Cock Rock
6) I had serious problems with money when i was younger. In primary school, my dad gave me RM22 each month for the school bus fare but instead of paying, i used them to buy cikedis, satay ikan, choki-choki, kek cokelat hero and 'main tikam' outside school. When i was 19, my dad gave me an American Express (Amex) card. I bought a Play Station 2, CD Walkman & tonnes of stuff online. My dad never renewed the card for me. Now at 25, having my own credit card, i'm starting to learn the importance of being thrifty. All apologies to my dad for wasting a lot of money in the past. My dad still buys me 'luxurious' things despite all of my troubles though (cameras, laptop, watch etc - he never let me buy those kind of things with my own money). When i become a consultant neurologist/neurosurgeon one day, I'll buy my dad things he wants. Insyallah.

Evolusi Rambut Tempurung Kelapa (Hikayat Nenek)
"Bowl Cut".Weezer."Cermin Mata Besar".Edisi Tahun Baru Cina
This story is called...."Hikayat Nenek Gua Pasal Gua Punya Rambut Tempurung Kelapa - Rendisi Kampung Pokok Assam, Taiping (Sebuah Semi-Autobiografikal Bukan Muzikal).
Nenek Saya Manyak Cun Punya Aiyoyo
Nenek pernah kata - "lu mau hidup senang aa, kena lajin baca woo" (baca = belajar). Baca, perkataan kegemaran nenek. Nenek bukan beragama Islam, tapi nenek pun tahu baca aka read aka iqraq tu asas terpenting dalam hidup. Setiap kali jumpa nenek, mesti ada perkataan 'baca', tidak pernah pula ada perkataan rempit/lempit, Akademi Fantasia mahupun Separuh Akhir Muzik-Muzik Kategori Balada. Mungkin nenek mahu keluarganya tabah berusaha, rajin membaca selalu. Baguslah begitu.
Nenek, orang cakap saya buat rambut tempurung kelapa dan pakai cermin mata besar sebab tiru Weezer lah, perasan lah, ikut gaya fesyen remaja masa kinilah. Betulkah nenek? Nenek - "Talak betui punya. Lu punya lambut sama cemin mata besa lu oliginal punya. Itu Weezel punya muzik aaa, syiok meh? Kasi nenek denga muzik dia loh"
Where I came from. Mendelian Inheritance
"Haiyaa, manyak bising aa lu. Lu apa tau. Balu hidup 25 tahun mau cakap manyak sama nenek kaa? Lu dengar sini, kalau mau hidup senang, mau pelempuan cun punya aa, lu ikut pesan nenek - a) lu mesti dengar cakap ibu bapa b) lajin baca. Itu girlfliend-girlfliend lama lu aa, diolang yang lugi oo sebab tak dapat lu, bukan lu yang lugi. Lu lajin baca aa, nanti jumpa pelempuan lagi cun punya, jangan lisau, don't wolly oh. Ada faham ka? Sikalang, pegi sambung baca loh." tegas nenek.
And i DO admire (the things you do)
Nenek memang betul.
Selamat Tahun Baru Cina Nenek. Long Live Tempurung Kelapa. Lock and Loll.

Phimosis, He Wrote.
Among the eight photographs below, one of them is taken using a different camera. Which one is it? Jawapannya...selepas iklan serbuk pencuci Daia. Gunalah Daia...Lupakannnn yang lain.
Found another Grey Heron on my day out the other day. Of all the Grey Herons i met, this is the best looking one. I only managed to take 2 photographs of this great bird because it flew away after Ipin threw some bread/old kuih raya into the river. Lesson learned: herons don't eat bread/kuih raya remnants. In fact, they will get really frustrated if you give them bread. Photography-wise, i really like seeing pictures of birds (esp. Storks, Herons, Egrets) standing in non-flowing water where you can see reflection of them as well. This picture is unsatisfying because i should have included the reflection of the bird. Only realized the water was non-flowing and produced a good reflection of the bird after the bird flew away.
Wasp.Taman Midah Cheras.2006
A lot of wasps can be found relaxing on green leaves in front of my house in Malaysia. Don't judge them by their appearance or size. These creatures are beautiful and deadly. Just like my ex-girlfriends.
I assume Bistrot is the French version of "Bistro". I don't know what Bistro means because i've never been into any of them. I assume a lot of Bistros can be found in Hartamas, Bangsar or Uptown, places i don't hang out at. I'll ask my cool friends what are Bistros all about. If i don't eat at home, i'll eat at a standard gerai, a fast food restaurant with air-conditioner, or food courts. I try my best not to eat at places that serve alcohol (it's not i'm 'alim' or something, i'm just particularly careful with the food i eat). Plus, i had enough of Western food when i was in the States. No where as good as Chinese, Malay or Indian dishes.
Andaman Sea.Langkawi.September 2006
Andaman Sea is my favorite sea/ocean. It is part of the Indian Ocean. It starts at Bengal Bay, covers Myanmar, Thailand, Peninsula Malaysia and Sumatra. When i see Andaman Sea on MAS' screen navigator, I feel happy because I know I'm approaching home. Andaman sounds like a Malay word but it's actually a word of the Burmese/Andaman & Nicobar Island people. Above is a picture of the Langkawi potion of Andaman Sea. Taken at Tanjung Sanctuary Resort, Langkawi.
I don't eat oranges despite the abundance of oranges in the family's refrigerator. I don't eat durian as well for obvious reasons. Favorite fruit - sengkuang (taruk assam). I'm the biggest vegetable eater around. Hence, i stay thin (and goddamn healthy). In Malaysia it's hard to be thin or fat because people tend to comment on these attributes. "Gemuknya Afdlin Shauki tu, makan kerbau goreng ke hari-hari?", "Kurusnya Phalinn Ooi tu, minum air je ke hari-hari?" Thank God someone as creative as Afdlin managed to address this issue with some good movies. I'm just as thin as Bruce Lee, only difference is i walk around with my clothes on. If i walk around without my clothes on, i can't see the difference between me or Bruce Lee. We are just short of fats.
Zurin, Horse, brother muka cam Khairy Jamaluddin sket2. Pantai Kok.Langkawi.2006
Girls like horses. Most of the girls i know love horses. Lisa Simpson loves horses (especially ponies). I find guys who like horses or who represent Malaysia in some horsing events speak like girls. Cowboys love horses. (and they love each other).
Cattle Egret.Taman Burung Kuala Lumpur.2006
Above is a Cattle Egret, picture taken at Bird Park KL, The World's Largest Covered Bird Park. Why bother building the world's largest this and that if it's poorly maintained? Why bother building the world's largest/tallest this and that if in the end the people have to pay more. Do we actually need to send an astronaut to outer space or someone to Antarctica instead of spending the money on rural areas? See through walls but still stuck at the door. Anyway, Cattle Egrets aren't usually that colorful, but this one is. In their natural habitat, they usually hang out near cattle and cows. They don't like places with water (rivers, ponds etc.)
Below is a picture at Pasir Bogak, Pangkor. The ikan and pari bakar at Pangkor were really good. In general Malaysian Seafood is the best in the world especially in Melaka, Kuching and on the Islands (Pangkor, Langkawi etc). I haven't been to a place in Malaysia that serves bad seafood.

The Greatest View
I tend to contradict myself. My new year resolution was to write in Bahasa Melayu but I'm writing in my crappy broken English again right now. Or as Ah Keat who sells apples and oranges at Petaling Street says - "my english bloken one lorr. You want to buy olange aa? Vely sweet oo". Gosh, i miss him. Plus, i said i'm busy and won't be able to update for some time but now i'm updating again after 4 days (quick for my standard). Time is an unpredictable 'entity'. It's like waiting for the Bas Mini 36 (ancient days) or Intrakota 122 (modern days), both buses to and from Taman Midah. You wait for 2 hours and no bus came, then you go into 7 eleven for a while to buy some doughnuts and while paying to the cute chubby cashier you notice two buses pass by in less than a minute. Thank god for the driving licence. Still, once in a while i still prefer to take the bus for the nostalgic feeling, a feeling you can't get while driving. Moreover, to places like Jalan Petaling/Silang, Puduraya or CM, you definitely don't want to drive around those areas at 4.30-6pm weekdays. It's really bad to be stuck in traffic jams while driving, but it's ok if you're in a bus because of that nostalgic feeling/sensation/experience - the smell of the bus, the smell of the people next to you, falling a sleep with your mouth open, laughing at people who sleep with their mouth open and the sound of the bus' bell. The intrakota one sounds really bad.
I haven't taken pictures for a while now. The last time i seriously went out for some photography adventure was a day before my birthday (7/1/2007). I went out to town with Ipin as part of his so called photography lesson with me. It's not like i'm a photography guru or something and i'm bemused at why he wanted to learn from me. Anyhow, when someone asks you/seeks your advice, you just give them an honest opinion and if you can't answer, just say you can't. The best advice i could give to Ipin was to go out and take as many pictures as he could. Don't waste time that much on reading technical stuff (however, if you have time, do read them). I hope he applies those advices especially to medicine. See as much as patients as you can and don't over-spend time reading. It's a tiring cliche in medicine, but it really works.
Menyerah Jiwa Raga
Oh yeah, i forgot. On 27/1/2007, i went out to take pictures of the Inter-University Football Tournament. I wasn't planning to go in the first place because, i guess it's better to be do some revision at home as exams are coming up and i believe there are other photographers from the junior years (5th meds, 4th meds etc) such as Abang Botak and some female photographers. However, Adzreil called and he and Syad sort of encouraged me to come to take pictures. I felt honored by little invitation like that so i decided to go. Took horrible pictures though that day. Wasn't really up to it plus it's cold like Antarctica.
Galway. November 2006
Answers to some questions raised in previous entries: Shida - I'm not obsessed with girls with dimples, just a pure coincidence my ex and Qilah have dimples. Che Sakura - when i contact my father i'll ask him about the udang goreng asam jawa recipe. Wong - i never wrote for any newspapers or plan to, despite some good offers. har har har. iena - camne setting kasi gambar awan cantik? entahla, tunggu hari ada awan cantik then tangkap je. saya takde specific technique. hanya menunggu hari hari indah pemberian tuhan. No komen. nak kahwin nanti baru komen. To those asking what camera i use - The cheapest DSLR around - Canon 350D, with these 18-55mm lens and 90-300 lens both canon with some different holya filters, the best thing i bought photography-wise (those filters). I also own 2 classic lenshood that my dad gave me. When i (or shall i say my dad) bought it, the camera was only around RM3500++, i bet it's much cheaper now. My dad is planning to buy a D80. All the best to him.

Dapur Berasap Lagi. Sesi Memecahkan rekod dunia
Dapur bujang 15 Gleann Dara kembali berasap. Takpe, masak tetap masak. Mungkinkah menjadi orang pertama di dunia membuat soohon goreng? tentu emak saya bangga dengan saya.
Soohon goreng, sambal ikan bilis + ayam goreng - 1) Kalau hajat dihati hendak rebus soohon macam rebus meehon, lupakan sahajalah. Kalau nak buat soohon goreng, jangan rebus soohon lama-lama nanti lembik sangat pula.
Fish & Chips & Sayur
Spaghetti Goreng & Ayam Sambal - Macam masak soohon kat atas. Saya suka makan lobak merah, jadi banyak kelihatan lobak merah disitu. Mata rabun jugak (banyak membaca) Ayam sambal tambah kacang pea sedap sikit kut. Sedia menerima jemputan masuk pertandingan jom masak bersama seri murni sambil bergelek gelek bersama chef ismail.

Words, Dreams and A Million Screams
A Little Update On Everyone
Everyone's a little bit busy nowadays. Most of the guys here are just 2 months away from their final exams and thereafter, isyaallah they will become doctors. I mean medical doctors, not those PhD 'super' doctors like Dr. Fazley aka Abang Asmara Bila Apreel. Anyway, the reward for the work that we have been putting in and will continue to put in, plus the happiness of our family/siblings/friends is all that we hope to achieve. It never occurred to us to do things just for the sake of getting the title 'doctor' @ 'doc'. If we only hope to get titles, recognition then, that's the only thing we'll ever get. Just like titles in Malaysia. So many titles/recognition, Datuk lah, Datin lah, Tan Sri lah, Uncle Seekers lah yet so little end product.
I haven't update for a while and will not be able to update as often as before so i might as well put up a long entry for this. Extremely busy and short of ideas most of the time (mainly due to the busy-ness). Like people actually give a damn whether i update or not. Here are just some updates of the people who have been great influences to the work that i put in here, in this lame Fotopages. Lets just say we work as a indie-pendent creative force which isn't that creative to be honest. Not as creative as those 'syndicates and syndromes' out there. All my crap stories (fiction & non-fiction), writings, ramblings, commentaries were inspired by these people and some other people i meet on a daily/non-daily basis in life. You might not hear about them anymore in the future. For now, the more important work to be done is some real life work. So long and good morning. Arigato.
Only skillful people have skills
Goalkeeper, guitar player, drummer, IT specialist and dedicated student. Baloq is one of the most hardworking students around here. My dad affectionately calls him Shaharil. Used to sleep over at my house during our younger IB years. Also acted as my dad's 'postman' when i didn't go back to Malaysia in 2003. Love to listen to my dad's story about cars and formula 1. Despite his good performance, Baloq couldn't prevent Galway from losing to DBS in the penalty shoot-out. Currently doing Geriatrics attachment with Dr. O'Keeffe. Can be found in the hospital typically listening to his loud ipod. Liverpool fan. From Seremban. Status unknown.
The over-positive swimmer
Now in standard 2 at Sekolah Kebangsaan Taman Midah. Has this high pitched voice that can be heard in the background asking "siapa telefon tu?" whenever i call home. Loves and very good at drawing, coloring and spelling. Likes to play with aeroplanes, trains, ships and cars. Favorite food: nuggets and french fries. Favorite drink: air labu. Favorite bands: Nirvana, Peter Pan and Ratu. Favorite movies: Pirates of Carribean, Some dinosaur movie which i forgot its' name, Chicken Little and Cars. Ambition: doctor. If doesn't become a doctor, i'll see him working somewhere in the 'artistic' industry because of his great talent in arts at such a tender age. 8 years old in May, single.
Flavian is doing nephrology attactment with Dr. Reddan right now. Dr. Reddan is a favorite with the girls, because he is, ermm good looking. He has this spiky hair and wears this thick-rimmed glasses like i do. Sadly, i'm not good-looking as him. Back to Flavian, my conversation with her are usually about Rawang and Cheras. We always argue which one is better. Obviously larr Cheras is better*. She said those Ramli Burgers sold by the roadsides in Rawang are the best in the world. Alright. She's very good at doing examinations on pregnant woman. I can see her getting first class honors in Obs & Gynae. Her technique is one of the smoothest around. Prof. Morrison will agree i believe. The only bad thing about her is she likes to accuse me of having a gay affair with Chin Yeow, since i'm good friends with him. Trust me, i'm straight-est ever guy you'll ever find. 23 years old from Rawang. Status unknown.
*Obviously i'm from Cheras and the reason Cheras is so damn good is because it's not 'a over-developed hip place' like Hartamas, Damansara and Bangsar. You can live a quiet family life and go to the goreng pisang stall with your siblings and buy goreng pisang happily without being bothered by 'cool hip yuppies' pretending to be rich & cool at Starbucks. My advice to those who want to hook up with decent hot girls. Hang out more at your local goreng pisang stall.
Intellectual smile, as they put it
Abbas is doing find right now despite missing a penalty for Galway the other day. Has been very consistent in planning our study group meeting although i'm the leader. I think i'll hand over the leadership over to him. A well known student among the consultants here because of his friendly attitude. He himself is known as the consultant among us. Currently doing Urology and joining every rotating tutorial available. Managed to impress Mr. McAnena with his specific urine output answer. A very bright student. Cooks very good nasi lemak. 24 years old, from Kajang. Taken.
Posing sikit dong
5. Bibik Isti
Most likely to answer the phone whenever i call home. From somewhere in Indonesia, somehow the name of the place escapes my mind. Doesn't look like the typical Indonesian maid, she looks more like a Malaysian, I'll keep it to myself about what differs between those two looks. Very hardworking and a great cook. Wakes up around 5.30am everyday. I know what time she wakes up because i'm usually still awake around that time. One of the best maid around should there be a best maid in Malaysia contest. Not sure about her age, but she is definitely younger than me (25) because she calls me 'abang'. Among the vey few people who calls me abang.
Bob Marley's stare. Not under any substance influence.
Apai is currently not at home. He's away to Letterkenny doing his junior internship in surgery. Sent me this 'jiwang' sms two days ago at 1am, asking me whether i'm already a sleep. Usually, only my girlfriend sms-es me asking me whether i'm still awake at 1am.That snow-cap and guitar are mine. One of the best cook in this house i would say. He specializes in curry, ayam masak merah and ayam masak kicap. Recently recovered from some minor flu and high temperature. Already engaged to someone. Really easy to get along and is basically on the same 'wavelength' as i am, sense of humor wise. Supports Manchester United and seems to confuse every black player with Yakubu. 24 years old. Pontian.
Some serious tactics being unveiled
Of our batch, Paan is the only one who is married. His wife is a student in Leeds University. Currently doing the same attachment as me, general surgery with Prof. Kerin. Considered one of the most matured students around, mainly due to his strong physique. The best guy to take history from patients with, because he let me do my job and he will fill the gap whenever i'm stuck. Plus, he asks good questions. Has been the captain of the Malaysian Galway Football team for quite some time know. Recently they lost to Dublin Business School. However, under the leadership of Paan, Galway has won that tournament several times before. From Baling, Kedah, his Utara slang is quite obvious (when he speaks Malay). 24 years old. Married.
Finger biting good
Sofiya is in kindergarden right now. I wonder how she fares though because she appears to be afraid of people. Likes to eat KFC and McDonald's. Will only play at the playground when there's no other people around. Afraid of dogs, but not as afraid as Syahmi. Only song she is good at: Teman Tapi Mesra by Ratu. Very good at dancing. Miss her larr.
Posing burger telur special
Syad is a very good footballer and obviously a very good looking one. Scored the goal of the tournament the other day against team Cork. Currently doing Gastroenterology attachment with Dr. O'Gorman. A very committed student who loves to practice his physical examination technique on me. When not studying or attending tutorial, Syad can be found in the library chatting with his girlfriend using MSN messenger. 24 years old from Seremban, Taken.
A long time ago, they used to be friends
10. Hassan & Simon
These two are best friends. Well they used to be. Usually the can be found together in the hospital but recently they hang out on their own. I wonder what happened. Hassan is doing surgery attachment with Mr. McAnena right now who calls Hassan "The Man" for his ability to answer questions that the Irish students couldn't answer. Basically Hassan's technique in answering questions can be considered as 'extreme' because he either will give a very good answer or a very bad one. 26 years old, from Maldives. An adopted Malaysian. Taken.
Simon is from Germany. Basically he comes from a German-Irish family. An Erasmus (exchange) student here. A very cool one. The only one who dares to wear jeans and not tucking in his shirt in the hospital.
Yeah yeah yeah
In Galway, Ipin is known as Arel Peter Pan because he is thought to resemble that singer, although honestly i don't think there's any similarities. Plus, i was the one who taught him how to play the first few chords of "Mungkin Nanti". He's in 4th med now. Hoping to own a DSLR camera someday. Very interested in photography and when he owns his camera i believe he will become a good one because he is a 'photography fanatic' shall i say. I tell you, he borrowed a photography book from the local library! That's weird. A geek who proudly owns a Mac, he has shown me some of the creative projects he learned from the internet. I'm impressed. 22 years old, taken.
Syazwan is away with Apai in Letterkenny right now. Doing his surgery attachment. He is doing well at the moment. On his first day at Letterkenny, he called me asking for directions to Azzam Restaurant, the restaurant that sells great 'kambing' masala in Letterkenny. Although he is of Bugis descent, he likes Indian food. If he doesn't cook curry, he will cook tandoori. He was the one who downloaded "Cinta" and other Malay movies, so ask him where he downloaded them. I'm not a expert in downloading films. He's from Shah Alam and taken.
Knocked silly in the head
Gagan is the son of an ENT surgeon from Ipoh. He should be given the player with the most injury during the inter-university football tournament the other day because he seemed to fall down and get injured every 5 minutes. Although he is from Ipoh, he said he likes Cheras because, the roti-canai there are really good. I agree with him though i don't like roti canai that much. in 4th med now, same class with ipin. His first year in Galway, before this he studied at International Medical University Bukit Jalil.
I've been using Head & Shoulders for 15 years.
I'm 25 years old to those who don't know. I'm doing alright. Healthy, happy, busy and tired. Currently with Mr. McLaughlin/Prof. Kerin's general surgery team for my junior internship. Apart from studies, i'm organizing some creative side projects which revolve around writing, painting and drawing. Also singing in the toilet as always.
I was invited by this Lancaster University, UK PhD student, Olivia to attend her informal presentation and talk/dialogue on the 16th of February. Sadly i told her i couldn't make it. Basically Olivia is doing her thesis or something about racial relationship and media control in Malaysia. I met her at KLCC last year. At first like anybody else, i was just a stranger which she approached to be interviewed and my views will be kept confidential. However, she found my views regarding racial relations in Malaysia to be quite 'negative'* and very different from others so she decided to take my email and we kept in touch ever since where i have read and acted as an 'advisor' for her thesis. That's an achievement for me because Olivia said her other 'advisors' include those influential people who control the alternative media in Malaysia. Olivia is very fond of Malaysia as her boyfriend is an architect working in KL. The only advice i couldn't give her was where to find good hip hop bands performing in KL. I simply told her to go to Bangsar (my definiton of hip-hop and crap like that) or read Klue/Malay Mail to locate some live performances. I said i listen to stuff like Radiohead and she understood my lack of knowledge regarding hip-hop, the worst music out there.
* In summary i was negative about racial relationships in Malaysia because i personally think racial integration in Malaysia, in reality is no where as good as what has been portrayed in the mainstream media. The government controlled media try to promote Malaysia as this place where different people from different races lives in harmony together, which is something good. Sadly, in real life that is not really true. Racial politics, racial policies still dominate the country. Malay still prefer to hangout with Malays, Chinese with Chinese and so on. Go on the internet, to myspace, friendster or Fotopages and find how many Malaysians live their daily life (eating together, shopping together etc) with a good friend from a different race? Very few. Norhayati, this author from the Penyokong Umno website referred Chinese as "bangsa asing" in her article regarding Batu Talam election. I wrote my letter to her to voice my displeasure regarding this. Nothing was done. Chinese mosque were not allowed to be built. Reason given - why the segregation? True, yet Uitm were bulit without asking the same question or why only Malays? Did the Quran or Hadis say to prioritize your race only? I won't become the Prime Minister because the first things i would do is take down all the Chinese schools, Tamil schools and Bumiputera's special privilege. No one would choose me then.
The best place for inspiration
God's gift to us is Malaysian girls.
Qilah is the inventor of nasi power ok?? She's is quite busy now but she still managed to call me every morning at 6am to wake me up and asks me to sembahyang subuh. Apart from expressing feelings, calling and sms-ing me, she's planning a trip with her friends, attending classes and listening to some good indie rock music with her alt-rock and roll friends. She's mainly listening to old Weezer stuff now and thinking about me. Yeah, I look just like Buddy Holly & you're Mary Tyler Moore. 21 years old. From Gombak, Bandaraya Jalan Sempit.
You are a twenty-one year old girl. Who lives in small city in KL. You heard me on the radio about one year ago and you wanted to know all about me, and my hobbies, my favorite food and my birthday. Why are you so far away from me?I need help and you're way across the sea. I could never touch you. I think it would be wrong. Ive got your letter. You've got my song. They don't make goreng pisang like this where Im from. So fragile, so refined. So I sniff andnd I lick your envelope and fall to little pieces every time. I wonder what clothes you wear to school, I wonder how you decorate your room.
Indecisive in their decisions, they opted to take pictures in the kopitiam.
Some old pictures. When we were young. Final meds 2007. Goodluck guys
Wish i can get my head off this thing, coz i think we'll make a good team.
When we were young as well. That Sumazau dance (idea by Clifford Kiat & Faintey Wong) really left the Irish students' mouths open for a while.
Oh yeah, goyang, goyang.
